Great news... we finally made it to Chicago! Justin's awesome brother Jason, lovely wife Erin, and hysterically funny and talented niece and nephew Sierra and Dillon live just outside of Chicago in a village called Lombard. It had been almost 2 years since Justin had seen them (and Tanya had never met them in person!) so it was due time that we make the journey to visit them. And what a blast it was! We went to the kids' final soccer games of their seasons, visited around the local restaurants and friends house's of Lombard, celebrated Dillon's 11th birthday, and hung out at Jason and Erin's beautiful house for hours on end just chatting, and of course, watching football! Then on Monday, when the big kids jetted off to work, and the little ones went to school, Justin and Tanya got a chance to run off to the big city of Chicago. We loved seeing all the old school architecture, the Willis Tower (formally the Sears Tower), and of course eating some AMAZING Chicago dogs at Portillo's, and grabbing some drinks at pub Fado in the heart of downtown Chicago called River North. After the excitement of the city, we headed back to Lombard for an amazing home cooked dinner with the family at the Dana's. At the end of the night, we unwantingly said our "until next time's" to our wonderful family.
We want to thank Jason, Erin, Sierra, and Dillon (and Oreo, Boots, and Sugar!) for such amazing hospitality. Tanya was so thrilled and happy to finally meet you all, and Justin was filled with joy to be able to spend quality time with his family again. As we all promised, let's not wait another 2 years to see each other again. Thank you again... We love you all VERY much! :)
(Ps. Tanya is having some technical difficulties with her camera so here are a few pictures to tide you over till she figures out the issue. Grrr technology!)
